Try this:
1. Just be silent. If anyone talks to you, fine give them a nice conversation but not indulging too much about yourself.
2. Act simple. Be simple.
3. Always study hard! Do not show how much brains that you have but show it only if necessary.
4. Be kind but not too much in a way you're giving away most of the answers from your assignments or exams.
5. Be not too bossy.
If by the end of the semester you have done these, i'm sure people will look at you a lot different from that moment on!

Yes, and i agree to that. There's nothing to prove and i also firmly believe that no one was created dumb but only LAZY!
There are lots of people in this planet trying to make names while they were in their schooling years and end up criminals. So it's not just proving them how smart you are but how good you can be. It's also true that "you can't please everyone" because if you do so then you are no different to a robot that accepts commands from people. So, do you want to be a robot? Of course you don't!

Dear, ppl r always going to think something or another about someone else. Most of the time it is negative. What u have to realize is that u don't have to prove anything to anyone!
Who r these ppl to u who think that ur dumb? Family? Friends? Well first of all your family is going to love you regardless. Whether ur the next Nobel prize winner or dumb as a box of rocks. Friends, well if your friends think that ur dumb; then they really aren't ur friends, and u should get out and try to meet new ones.
Question? Do u think that ur dumb? No? Well OK then. Emit an aire of confidence that shows that. You don't have to prove that ur smart to anyone. If you believe that u are then o.k.
Peoples intelligence lie in different areas. You may be a genius when it comes to Math, but a dumba.s.s when it comes to English. It doesn't make u dumb it just means ur smarter in some aspects than others; just like everyone else. No one is perfectly smart, so don't let anyone lie to you and tell you they are smart about everything; THEY ARE LYING.
REMEMBER- EMIT AN AIRE OF CONFIDENCE hold ur head up high.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO PROVE YOUR INTELLIGENCE TO NO ONE.
AS LONG AS YOU YOURSELF BELIEVE THAT YOU AREN'T DUMB, THEN NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE!!!
When ppl see your confidence radiating off of you, then the word dumb wont come across their minds.

Just don't respond to them (even though I know it can be really hard) and if you do let them get to you then just do it where they can't see it, like in the privacy of your room in your parents home, then if you are given a huge assignment, like a book report, go way above and beyond the teacher's expections, and get an A+ while they get a C (just because they were too busy sticking there noses into your business) and do not give them an "i told you so" grin and smile and that will really make them crazy.

Have more confident and believe in yourself ..
do everything smartly in your own ways and do not have to waste times caring if the other people think you are dumb or smart ..
coz you are the one who know yourself and your potential the best

well Bekka you are here and that says that you can get on a computor so thats the first clue that your not dumb..just be smart and stay quiet and study hard and have intelligent friends..you are very pretty too

Do not respond or get into name calling, just ignore them and thereby rising well above them. Who is smart and who is stupid is really a matter of opinion anyway.
