For example: People who got all As would earn more money than a person who all Cs.

A's may pay, but C's get degrees.

Yep, this is a near certainty. With the exception of a couple professions (like sales, and you have to have a natural talent for that), having better grades effectively means you will be in a position for a higher paying job. Ultimately, the difference between an A and a C could mean the difference between earning $350,000 a year as an attorney or $50,000 a year as an office assistant.

I don't agree with that at all. I dropped out of college twice and still make more than most of the people I was in either high school or college with...my Dad is a living example of that as well...the people he manages have their MBAs and Masters degrees and he only has a HS diploma...all good grades mean is that you can study and test well...it has absolutely nothing to do with real life...in my opinion.

absolutely not.

Good grades mean you have a better chance of getting into the college of your choice. It's equally important to take difficult classes, i.e. take AP history vs regular history. If you want to go to a top college, your grades in high school better be excellent.

Your earning potential is based more on the profession you go in to. A doctor who got a C average in school is still going to make more than a teacher who graduated number 1 in his/her college class.

No, but success in school is a good indicator of success in the job market. Earning higher grades makes you a better candidate for college and for jobs that check transcripts.

Not really! You need to be smart in a real world not in the book world. Some people are good in studying but they suck at real world and vise versa. The key is to make more money that you have to at the right place on right time....

Not at all. Companies only care whether or not you have a college degree. For the most part, they could care less if you graduated at the top of your class, or the bottom.

However, people who get better grades tend to have a better work ethic, which helps them get promotions, etc, thus potentially leading to more money.

Nope average C student. I did just enough to pass.
I have 2 additional stipends on my pay check...these are 2 stipends that my straight A co-workers don't have.

Umm I think I have more common sense then them....maybe that has something to do with it.

PS I have worked for many places...yes they want to see my degree and certifications but not my GPA report.

well most of the times yes. the better the grades you get, the better the college you can go to, and the better your chances are of getting a really good, high paying job!!
that's why i work really hard in school!!! but sometimes...like one in a billion...people can drop out of high school and become entrepreneurs and make a lot of money!

Theoretically that should be the way it is, but it doesn't always work that way. I am not saying Bill Gates did not make A's but he makes more money than any person who has studied hard..........

the better grades you get, the more likely people will employ you!! the harder the job, the higher the pay (usually) so the better you do in exams the better you will be at the harder jobs so employers will want to hire a a* rather than a c coz in most cases they will get better work out of them
hope i helped x
