One England kept raising trade tax on the colonies.
the people started to self rule more and more.
During the French and Indian Wars people were forced to house British troops.
Free trade with other countries was stopped, by force.
Most important events of the Revolution. French came to our aid against mother England. England sent in Hessian Troops that killed both loyal to the crown and rebel a like. At the start of the War only 40% wanted to brake a way from England, but as the war moved on, more loyals turned to the Rebel cause. For they suffered under the English Soldiers and their Hessian Allies: by the end of the War 80% of the population wanted nothing to do with English Rule. And George Washington turned down the CROWN of America offered to him by the people, after the war was over.

It was actually the tar and feathering of bankers in MA that started the masses into revolution. Before that, it was just idle chit chat.
