Yes, it can happen. Two couples I have known in my life: former co-worker married when she was late 20's and he in early 40's. The are still happily married. Another couple had almost twenty years difference, but so many of the same interests it was almost creepy: same books, same sports, food, outdoor activities, taste in TV shows. They were just VERY compatible and always seemed very happy around each other.
Now, back to reality...I know that they were the exceptions rather than the rule, but they are very good examples of that exception. Hope this helps with your question.
With kind regards....Finn.

My husband is 55 and I'm 43. We live as happily as we can every day. We both satisfy and make one another content.
Only in fairy tails does happily ever after happen or maybe to the very young getting married for the first time.
Happiness can be long lasting, it is a choice we make and I think love and respect plays a role too.

I think it depends on the couple. I know for me in my first marriage I was 21 and he was 31 and we loved each other very much, but we were both at different times in our lives. I think at 21 I was just too young and wasn't really ready to be a wife. We were both from different generations and it just didn't work out. My husband now is 2 years older than me and we are both on the same page. We grew up with the same music, trends, tv shows, etc. We are just more compatible. I am not saying that it won't work just that it didn't for me.

My son is happily married to a woman who is 14 years older than him.
Mine is 9 1/2 years older and tries to be bossy, always right, controlling, acts like a Dad - I hate that.
Joy to you!

Age is in straightforward terms a variety. have faith me. have you ever considered the flicks making a song interior the Rain and Charade? Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly and Audrey Hepburn and Cary grant have such super chemistry on exhibit and you're able to by no ability wager that Reynolds and Kelly are two decades aside and Hepburn and grant are 25 years aside. in case you like a real worldwide occasion, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are precisely 25 years aside and that they actually love one yet another. i think of relationships between those with a huge age hollow are extremely romantic and that i'm usually interested in older adult men myself. So, in case you particularly love this guy, then I say decide for IT!

In my experience no, my auntie was 32 when she fell in love with an 19 year old Guy, they had 2 kids together but they argued constantly because the one was more mature in ways than the other. It ended badly .
Maybe if its an older man with a younger woman things may work out better but i think it does put extra strain on the relationship.

It can happen, but realistically few couples nowadays live "happily ever after" (as in til death do us part).
