I ws supposed to get my period on the 22nd and tested on the 20th. The pregnancy line showed up right away and really dark even before the control line. With my other 2 kids I waited till the day I was supposed to get my period or later and it took about 3 min. to come up and it was really faint. Would this mean I am further along than i think?

If you had a normal period last month, I would say you are probably 5 weeks along. I conceived somewhere around Mar 10, I know because my husband and I were living apart at the time ( he is in the military) and I was visiting him for the weekend. I tested positive on March 26, two weeks later. The line came up right away and was very dark. They make those tests so sensitive these days that any amount of the pregnancy hormone is going to give you a positive result. Congratulations and Good Luck!!

with my 1 st pg i was 7 weeks gone before i finally got a positive result...( i knew in myself it was just a case of proving it lol) This time i got a strong result on a regular cheap £1 pg test 2 days before my period was due. I dont know if this is anything to do with it but i had a girl 1st time and this time i am having a boy?!?!

Well when I found out I was pregnant I was supposed to get my period in a day and my test came out positive immediatly.
But I was barely pregnant then so I dont think it makes a difference.
Go by your last period.

No. I took 3 tests to confirm my pregnancy this time and two came up right away while one took forever. It just depends on the test. Tests are better now than they used to be too.

With both of my pregnancies the line came up immediantly and really dark, but I wasn't any further along than normal.

i dont know it may be just because you did it before you period and you may but there noy sure yet? but anyway if your pregnet then congratulations and i hope you have a successful birth.

Maybe, or that you just have a lot of hormones in your system this time around...
