You're pretty much out of luck. Although all ISP's keep back-ups, there is only a slim-to-none chance that your prior ISP would be willing to e-mail a zip file containing all your e-mails to your new e-mail address, but, quite frankly, I doubt they would do it at all (I tried and failed at that request many years ago). It isn't worth their time and effort, and, for all they know, you could be doing it just to waste their time (some people get their kicks from the most inane things!).
For the future, give all your friends, family, whatever, at least 60-days notice that you'll be changing e-mail addresses two months from "now" (they won't care whether it's a change in ISP; many people keep their ISP, but change their name, especially if they get too much spam!). At the 30-day mark, subscribe and connect to your new ISP to make sure that it works for you (you'd be surprised at how many people sign up for a service, just to find out that it doesn't work on their computer, for whatever reason, but, because they gave out the new address and told their friends "as of now" AND they cancelled their old service, that they are now "stuck" without a viable e-mail address!). Then send out another e-mail from the new address indicating that they have 30 days left to change to the new e-mail address. In the meantime, you should try to print or copy or forward or download or whatever your old e-mail messages (don't forget the address book!); this also gives you a great opportunity to delete useless messages. At the end of the 30 days, cancel the old ISP, and enjoy the new one!

You will have to contact the ISP, and ask. Some ISPs have programs where you can continue to use the e-mail. I believe most do not.
Which is a good reason to use e-mail accounts not tied to your ISP. Such as Yahoo, or G-Mail. That way you can switch internet service, and your e-mail will not be effected.

Perhaps you could open a hotmail e-mail account and have all your messages from your other e-mail accounts sent there. It may work, but then what do I know. I have all my messages from Google Yahoo & TalkTalk sent there but not sure about an account thats expired
