I am not saying what Micheal Vick did was right. I am saying he shouldn't be punished. (I don't think he should lose his football career over it).

There are other events that happen that far outweigh what Vick did. These incidents were barely mentioned in the media. A young girl was kidnapped, tortured, and raped by 6 people in W. Virginia. Six teenage male were unjustly charge with a far more heavier crime than what they did.....Jena Six.

This was swept in under the rug, one of Vick's teammates killed his girlfriend's dog with his bare hands in retaliation. What do yall think of all of this?

I am not saying those teenage boys shouldn't be punished but what they were charged with does not fit the crime. And the boy who got his *** whooped should be charged with a hate crime.

Michael Vick signed a contract and part of that contract had a morality clause in which stated that if he breached that contract he would forfeit his right to play for that team and the money that was advanced to him. He tortured and murdered dogs unmercifully. Kids looked up to him and he betrayed that trust. Do we want our children growing up and doing the same thing? There are laws for crimes against animals and he deserves the fullest punishment. He didn't do it just once or twice but over and over again and bought property for that very purpose and to make money as well.

It's not a right to play professional sports, it is a privilege. That privilege may be taken away if you cause your team to suffer bad publicity for the acts you commit while not on the playing field. Michael Vick's privileges are being stifled because he committed a crime that caused his innocent team members to suffer the ugly glare of the media.

Please try to get out of this attitude that celebrities can do no wrong. They do -- look at O.J.

He's not playing football but he's not rotting in jail either. I'm so sick of celebrities being exempt from criminal charges. Would Britney Spears get so many chances if she were some ordinary Jane Doe? Or all those other celebrity losers who get away with being criminals? I'm glad they are making an example out of him but he should be in jail along with all the other people you mentioned.

I think celebrities make a fortune off their fame, and when things go bad, they have to suffer the consequences. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Don't get me started on those thugs in Jena. What a bunch of crap and a media circus over criminals.

The fact that other people have done worse things does not make what he did right and thus invalidate his ability to be brought up on criminal charges. That's a narrow minded way to think, what's next only charging people with murder if they kill someone "important"?
