I think that it is a classless move to go for it on 4th down when you are leading 38-0. Just want to hear others thoughts on this. If I was the coach, and I was losing 45-0 and the other team was in the shotgun with starters trying to score again, I would give them the pass, and hit the crap out of the QB until they pulled him or hurt him. Anyway, I know this is the pros and they aren't kids, but show some class New England, we ALL know you are good, you have no one else to prove it to.

To all the people who are saying quit whining, I'm not whining you wankers, I am just seeing if people feel like I do. Get off of the Pats bandwagon for crying out loud!

And yes you kick a field goal on the 4th down! No the field goal is not needed, but is the touchdown needed? That is called running up the score! Use your brain!

I totally agree. We all know the Pats are one of if not the best team in football this year, but that was a slap in the face. I would really hate to see a starter get injuried on plays like that, but they're playing with fire there. And teams don't forget things like that.

When the Dolphins or the Redskins stop trying to score, the Patriots can stop. Anyway the fourth quarter in the last two games was the opportunity for back up quarterbacks Matt Cassel and Matt Guttierrez to demonstrate their ability to move the team. They were motivated and had something to prove. So it was not something malicious. I hope you have the same question next week.

I find the Patriots to be foolish, and arrogant. Foolish because any one of their prize players could get hurt during plays where they don't even need to be in. If Brady gets hurt because of this type of arrogance it will hurt the team. We all saw the back-up QB in the Miami game. (I think the coach doesn't want people to know how bad their back-ups are.)
I also believe this in your face attitude will come back to haunt them. Whether they get opposing players trying to take Brady out or when relationships are lost among colleagues due to the arrogance. Don't forget that the NFL is also a business. Some people may not like their kind of business.
Just my opinion!!

I think that the Pats are doing that because after that cheating scandal alot of people questioned their previous success so now that they have a superior team they are trying to erase all doubt.
PS what are you supposed to do on that 4th down take a knee and give up position. Take out you kicker for an unneeded Field Goal.

you are so full of pxxp! they could have run up the score. they did not. they were just practicing for the next opponent during the second half. effortlessly, they just creamed them as usual.
if you had ever played the game of football, obviously you didn't even play in high school, you would know these guys are for real. behold and appreciate them. may not be another team like this in a long time.

I think you should play hard from start to finish. What's wrong with scoring as many touchdowns as you can? If you compare football with other sports, then you have every right to score as much as you can. Basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer, we never say anything about stop scoring so many points. That's why proffessional athletes get paid millions of dollars to perform, anything less would not be accepted.

They're pros; as such, do something about this alleged "running up the score". Otherwise, stop whining.
BTW, what was their alternative on the one 4th down play? Kick a field goal?

Scoring is what the players get paid to do.
It's called professional football. They have a job to do.
Whining is even more classless and unprofessional than "running up the score".
