If we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people to not kill each other?

First of all, this is the LGBT section, not the fetus section :)

Second of all, within the first trimester (the only type of abortion legal in the United States), a fetus has no brain, nor any way to feel pain. Indeed, it is almost impossible to distinguish it from the fetus of other mammals such as cows and pigs (which are kept in horrible conditions their entire lives before being slaughtered for meat). If abortions were made illegal, women would resort to horrible self-injury to induce miscarriage, as happened before abortions were legal. Many would die for it, and pro-lifeers would be responsible for their deaths.

I understand why you are opposed to it, but honestly? Violence is going to happen no matter what, and I've never seen a woman who's had an abortion then go out and kill someone because of it.

by that logic, any country that accepts war and invading another country is not teaching people love and is using violence to get what they want. and there are a lot of people who are against abortion but for war. i guess nothing is perfect.

Choice is not about moral rightness, it's about legal rightness. A legislated morality is no morality. There can be no moral individual if the individual is not free to chose. Besides, though, we all think killing is wrong we know of extenuating circumstances, and more XIans than atheists are pro the death penalty.

would you rather have a mother have a baby that she knows she cannot afford to provide a stable environment for? Resulting in the mistreatment and mental deterioration of the child. Do you know that people who have children that they cannot provide for pass that along to their children and the cycle continues. Which ads up to American dollars on food stamps, welfare, housing, healthcare= more dollars out of your pocket and mine. I think I'd rather keep my money
