"The point" may not coincide with their opinion, so if you REALLY want to make sure people see YOUR point of view (because this is what you actually mean by "the" point), then you simply say, "I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say," and then reiterate what you're expressing...in as basic, unemotional terms as possible.
If they still don't "get it" then you just drop it. People sometimes like to not understand. Ever hear the phrase, "ignorance is bliss"? Well........

Point blank tell them the point. Explain to them what you are trying to say. If they still don't get the picture, then you have done all you can. Sooner or later it will sink in even the thickest skull. Be patient, they'll come around. If the don't, shame on them.
The point being, explain it to them and if they don't catch on, ignore it and go on. They'll figure it out eventually.

Make sure when you talk to them you are having a conversation, not an argument. Less is more. Use powerful words and say it once. Don't lose sight of your original argument.
If they still won't listen. Try to let it go. It is not your responsibility to police the world. They will get it eventually.

Try to explain it to them if they do not listen
Explain it to someone close to them who they will listen to
If none of this works then you should just leave them and not bother because there not much point going on and on if they are not going to listen
Hope That Helps

It depends on the person. Did they just misunderstand your words, so you have to repeat them? Or do they never listen, just pretend to listen then talk and talk then ask you to repeat what they said. Besides, if you didn't understand something someone said, would you want them to give up and stop telling you what they were saying? If you ask me, it would seem pretty rude to just stop trying to explain.

I try to get my point across as best I can and try to make them understand what I'm trying to say in as simple a manner as possible.

Try asking a question which might lead them to see things from your perspective, perhaps by saying something along the lines of "I think ..... because......... and wonder if you share my view?" If you give some direct reasons it can (sometimes!) work wonders.

You can only do so much. Response clearly and to the point and then it's up to the individual. Sometimes people need examples like i have a friend who..........What do you think she/he should do.

Put it in neon lights on the top of your vehicle and ride around with a megaphone yelling at the top of your lungs...it'll help you feel better, at the very least.
