Most people complain of one thing or another in America, and we have our share of problems too. Lots and lots and lots of them, and they're not getting any better anytime soon.

If our country supposedly has the best of everything, material wise, is it still worth putting up with the fast pace, soulless cut-throat, workaholic lifestyle that we treasure so much?

Also, people normally act like A=holes. Our country is FAR from a "class act."

We're turning into hater-nation.

also Immigrant-nation. Not that that's a bad thing, but it's ridiculous when they refuse to assimimlate to American culture and values and instead hate our country, but choose to leech money off of it. IT's ridiculous.

I personally thing life here has its pros and cons, and the cons mainly being the PEOPLE.

Americans as a whole, SUCK.

Either they're way too egotistic and arrogant, or hateful or cynical, bitter.

Finding a NORMAL happy, well-together American is like finding a happy junkie.

Far too many americans have never left the borders of their country, or even the state they live in. They are insular and opinionated without foundation in fact. If more of them travelled and saw how the rest of the planet lived, they might have a greater appreciation for what they do have.

I know that these are your opinions and you are entitled to them, but, you see I too am an American and I totally disagree with you 100%. We live in one of the most outspoken countries in the world. Why? Because we can that's why. I'm so sorry that you have that much hate and bitterness in your heart for America and her people. Try living in a 3rd world country for several years and then see what you think about America. I'll bet you'll hum a different tune.

Well Happy Days are Here again..my my,,,you are a tad too cynical. I am a Canadian and I have alot of American friends and they are good people. Yes I detest the racism in your country but there are good people that arent racist and have great hearts. Dont be so negative.

Most Americans have never been anywhere else, so they have no frame of reference. I have been many places outside the US, and I say that there is no country as great or as free, or as full of opportunity as the US of A!

the grass is always greener.

BTW- all immigrant cultures have had those who assimilate at differing speeds. You'd be wise not to project your feelings onto them; reality often differs from slogans.

Oh, dude. You need to look in the mirror before you start casting stones that far and wide.

I think your entire question / argument is deeply flawed and not remotely in keeping with my experience.
