Yes. I think it is possible for anyone to be addicted. They just have to be in a stressful place in their lives and encounter a substance or activity that helps them escape; the addiction comes in when they neglect other life things (work, family, friends) for their substance or activity.

of course. addiction and dependence do not discriminate. there are many prominent physicians, lawyers, etc. that attend AA and NA where i live. more power to them. it takes a lot of humility to be able to admit you have a problem. no offense but this was kind of a silly question. anybody can become dependent on something if they arent careful.
