Jerry Garcia passed away so I'm for Joan Rivers.

I tend to agree with PuckDat, in that Rivers has lots of weapons against a Minnesota pass D that's dead last in the NFL. But, being a Chargers fan, I also know that Rivers is prone to making stupid mistakes. Also, look at his stat line for Sunday: 7 of 11 for 130 yards. He did get 3 TDs, which bailed him out. And, he didn't throw any picks. But, his inconsistency - especially when he can just feed the ball to LT and with the D/ST racking up points - you never know what you're going to get out of him.
Garcia has resurrected the Tampa Bay passing game. And, he has been fairly consistent when he's played. But, he is going up against the #8 pass defense in Arizona. So, I would expect about 220 yards and 1 or 2 TDs maximum.
Neither player is a great choice. But, Rivers has more potential for a breakout game. I would go with Rivers.

SD is the better team to begin with and with Minn having to put 8 men 'in the box' to counteract LT, single coveragewill result for Gates, Chambers etc. Rivers will light them up and get you points a plenty.
