Avoid nuts, as some children are allergic, and at that age wouldn't necessarily know or tell. Avoid small objects as they are choking hazards. Cheap toys (without small parts) are easily affordable ($1 store) and you can make goodie bags. Big bouncy balls are usually a hit. You should ask the teacher if there is something you could provide that they already have in mind to do for the kids. Schools rarely have the funding to do all that they want.

I would consider Halloween cupcakes. I did that for my son's class. You can pick them up at most grocery stores and they usually have different Halloween themes and flavors. They are not that costly and saves you a ton of time. Plus the kids love them. Hope this helped.

Every school says stay away from nuts. Also, the treats have to be store-bought and pre-packaged single servings.
We always end up getting things like twinkies, or suckers, or even fruit snacks.

All kids like rice crispy treats, so how about those, shaped like ghosts with chocolate chips for eyes.
