Its completely normal to lose weight at the beginning of pregnancy. Do not worry you will start packing it on soon =) FYI, alot of women stop gaining or loses weight at the very end of pregnancy as well. Good Luck!

Is your doctor concerned? There are many things that you are doing differently because you are pregnant, like eating healthier or eating less? Most women do not lose weight, while in the first half of your pregnancy you are not expected to gain too much weight losing some may be cause for concern. On that note, you may lose weight if you are stressed out... like a pregnancy can do to you. Take a look at your life and go to a doctor just to be sure. Most doctors are nice enough to fit you in just to be on the safe side, if your doctor seems like you are wasting her time, find a different one. No question is too stupid for a pregnant lady.. heck, we are all hormonal anyway. Best of luck and do try to gain some weight eventually. But try not to worry too much right now

If you are sick a lot in the beginning it isn't unusual to lose some weight at first. Also, if you are kind of overweight (you were not) and then you start eating a lot healthier than you did before then you might lose a little. Eventually though you need to gain some weight. If you haven't got much appetite you might try to make sure you are getting plenty of calories. And ask your doctor about it.

alot of women lose weight early on in pregnancy like that but later when the morning sickness goes away you will be able to gain more weight. i lost alot of weight early on because i started eating healthier for the baby. but even with the diet change it was easier to gain weight later on in the pregnancy. the doc will tell you when there is a problem with your weight. remember to eat a little more for the baby and get some good rest. you have plenty of time to gain weight, so you will be fine.

No it is not normal. Although, at one point in my pregnancy I was really really stressed out and going through it, and I lost some weight. Which wasnt good, but it wasnt bad because after I stopped stressing, I started gaining that **** back. Butyou should go to the doctores because its not normal.

No you shouldn't worry. I was the same way. I had nausea but no vomiting and I lost 11 pounds. I am 15 weeks and still have not gained any weight. My doctor is not concerned yet. She says the baby is still growing which I can see from my growing bump and I should start to gain weight soon.

I lost weight initially because I stopped drinking alcohol and I was too queasy to eat much. But, I think after a while it balances out and you start gaining again. Since your second trimester has just begun, I wouldn't worry too much. Call the doc and ask if you are concerned.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
