Rehab's the only way to go. With serious addictions like this people need to be under close medical supervision.
There's also a high rate of relaps, so follow up counsiling is a nessesity.

Since it is a very hard drug to quit straight up, I doubt if anyone could do it own on their own. Rehab seems the way to go.

That someone has to want to stop. NO one can do it for them.
