Depending on how strong I am feeling I guess. I find that because I am so sensitive I can sometimes feel very intimidated by other peoples stares. However I must admit that at other times I find it amazingly empowering to keep eye contact with the person I am talking to, u can almost feel the energy exchange happening. When I need to have my voice heard and my wishes respected there is no faster way than to hold my head high, speak clearly and maintain eye contact. At other times if I do not wish to b engaged in a conversation, not looking directly at the person talking, generally shuts them up quite quickly. Maybe there is truly a great power within our eyes, it has always been said that the eyes are the window to the soul, it is a very seductive and mesmerising action to use your eyes to convey your thoughts. LIGHT AND LOVE.....................

When I was younger, I did not even pay attention to this. But as I grow older, I began to face some difficulties with it. I don't agree that when someone does not look at you in the eye then s/he is lying. Sometimes they just feel nervous.
On the other hand, when I look right in the eye it means either I am in a serious attemp to understand this person, or that I am concerned about them more than usual (mostly happened when in love).
Eye contact enables you to feel the true feelings of the other person.

people are three types, visual who communicate by visualizing , emotional whom are moved by emotions linked to what you are saying, and vocal who givs you thier ears when you speak to them.
im type three in the first degree, visualistic on the 2nd, so you would see my eye pointed at the wall and im all EARS hearing YOUR words and PHRASES trying to understand why you used this word not the other ..... so you see even if you are SHINNY and SMILLY i can still notice that you are hiding sth, or not feeling good
but when im the one who is speaking then i use DIRECT eye contact, its always a nice experiance when you meet that person who looks directly into your eyes ' fighting for power, command ' ....... gotta admit i have met many people whom when looking into my eye i felt all weak or unstable, some i managed to look into thier eyes, some i till THIS day i cannt coz im having this strong feeling that they can READ me and know who i AM

it occurred to me in the 6th grade that i started looking into some guys eyes when he was talking to me i after that i got really confused for a while weather you were supposed to look in a persons eyes or just at the face in general. i dont think it necessarily matters. usually i just look at the person without realizing im looking at their face or eyes. but when i do notice i being to look in the persons eyes. one thing i dont know is if the person can tell if your looking in their eyes cause i must freak people out a bit if you can.

I tend to look people in the eyes when I am engaging them in conversation. Sometimes peoples eyes reveal things that they are not saying to you verbally.
When I'm talking to someone and they are not looking me in the eye I tend to think they are being dishonest.

Usually I try to look people in the eyes.
When someone is avoiding looking me in the eye, I get the feeling he's hiding something.
That's why I try avoiding doing it.
