You want to avoid ammonia-based glass cleaners like Windex because it can go through glass. (Lots of dead tropical fish because the housecleaning service sprayed the fish tank with Windex).
Monster sells some screen cleaner with a soft cloth for the screen that wont penetrate. For the top, sides I just use a sponge with some dish-soap to clean the dust off.
I believe you can use stuff like Glass Plus which wont penetrate the glass, but I dont know for sure.

use a terry cloth-spray cleaner on terry cloth and begin cleaning
