Use some sugar. 1 to 1 1/2 cups per gallon. It is best to do this while the tea is still warm or at room temperature, so the sugar will disolve. If you are doing it by the glass just use a teaspoon at a time until you like the taste.

It is true the pink packets are nasty,(saccharin). It is not true that they are for diabetics. I'm diabetic and I am allergic to saccharin. I still use regular sugar, prefer Raw Cane Sugar. And I like Splenda too. It's not so much the sugar it is the carbohydrates you have to watch.
Yes 1 to 1 1/2 cups of sugar to the gallon of tea while it is still hot. (WARNING! DO NOT PUT HOT TEA INTO THE REFRIGERATOR. IT WILL MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE DREGS OF THE MUDDY MISSISSIPPI).

Ga-ross. Sweet tea tastes nasty Lilbit. But if you must sweeten it, then i guess adding â« a spoonful of sugar will make the tea go down, in the most delightful way. â«

It is better to sweeten the tea while it is still hot, this way the sugar dissolves.

Use the white packets, avoid the pink ones. Those are unsweetened and gross. For diabetics really.
