home. That is where the truck was towed from. Can they legally do that? I had a notice place on the truck back in April of this year. I moved it, but i brought it back this week because someone was going to buy it on Friday. I was not serve any notice for the truck before they came today. Since the work order had my address listed, but the city towed it from my mother's house, was that considered an illegal tow?

Thank you! Your input is what I was trying to explain to my fiance. I just wanted to see if what I was saying was true.

Hiding a truck from tow company does not make the problem of WHY it's being towed go away. Face your responsibilities before you wonder about THEIR legal rights.

NO. Where your car is, and it's due to be towed, it will be towed. It could be parked in a church parking lot. Stop trying to get over. You knew you had trouble since APRIL and did nothing to take care of it, and had the intention to sell to someone else your problem. The tow is LEGAL.

What mattered was the VIN number and license number of the vehicle. Not where the vehicle was located at the time it was towed...
