hi, I'm sixteen years old and I am going to a new high school in maryland, I'm from El Salvador and I would like to know how people is going to be like with me: kind, friendly, angry, upset...¿? how, what do you think? and what do you think I have to be introduced to the class¿??

It's scary being out of your comphort zone. I totally understand. However this is going to happen to you your entire life. When you start a new job for example. You have been able to make friends in the past It will come naturally to you. It might take sometime because you need to build a history with these people but it will come. During this transition join activities that you like and I am sure you will meet people who are also like you with common interests. Also keep in touch with your old friends so you don't feel so alone. All of a sudden one day it won't feel so strange being the new girl.

oohh...i live in MD. You never know with people here. I think that the best thing to do is be humble, and not try to pretend that you are cooler then them at first. Then be nice to some people, a few at a time, and then when they get to know you, and realize how cool you really are, then you will be loved by all! Thats really the trick to Marylanders, but if you don't do this, then they will think that you are like snoby, and not like you for the rest of your time there.

usually just wait it out let someone come to u!!!! alot of ppl there r nice,some rude!,some that need help!... but don't really worry bout it u'll find new friends some will stay wit u some won't!!! just be careful some r like emo n punk n rude n i wouldn't want u gettin mixed up wit the wrong ppl! also try introducing ur self to some ppl!! no matter how nervouse u r!!!

My cousins came from Peru and they did not know any English at all. They felt really strange. Just be friendly and don't let any body's comments put u down. It all depends if u get nice people o not. Just be cool.

Just be yourself. Great friends will come along the way. And it is high school so you will see a lot of drama there.....just don't get involved in ither poeple's problems. Good luck and have fun.

i've been to two new schools before, and it's really not that hard unless you think that it's hard.
don't expect anything good until after the first day. i can't promise anything, but don't try to fit in. the world will never run out of people who are perfect (or almost perfect) for you, so go ahead, and be the person that you dream to be - appreciated.

I think people will be nicer than you expected. The other students will probably be curious about you since you came from a different country.
If you show that you are a nice person, they will probably be nice to you.

just be yourself. thats all you can do. but dont be shy. try to be outgoing and willing to make friends and thats how you will make new friends. just be funny and some people are going to mean but ignore them.. mostly everyone should be nice. i mean theres not much they can not like about you if they dont even know you. just have fun meeting new people. im sure you will do fine.
