Is it a good movie?..just how scary is it?..should it be watched with someone its that scary!!??..lol..

Extremely scary. It really messed with my head for days. I was about 20 when I watched it so not a kid. I love horror films. Scream, Hills have eyes, saw, The shining - you name it nothing is as scary.

It is indeed a good film. Cleverly made. It's just scary as hell! Even in this day and age. But I think what frightens people the most is the events that happened outside the movie. Apparently, people were comitting suicide because they couldn't get images of the movie out of their minds. Also, on the set during filming, telephones that weren't plugged in or connected would start ringing. So I've heard. It kind of makes you think that the makers of the movie were maybe tampering with aspects of the unkown. But remember, it is only a film.

Yes, It is quite scary, but not dangerously so. At the time, I remember thinking that some people were 'acting-up' a bit, and exaggerating how much the film had frightened them, probably a touch of mass hysteria. There's not a great deal of blood & gore, but the film's potency comes from the idea that the power of evil is (almost, as it turns out) equal to that of good. It is genuinley a class above most other 'horror' films. Worth seeing.

Personally, I didn't find it very scary. If anything, it was kind of silly. But that's just me. If you want to see a really scary movie, try "Freaks!"

In 1973 when the film came out,it was VERY scary....i remember seeing it at the cinema,it made me nervous for days...to see her neck turn all 360 deg.. and all that green sick spewing from her mouth GREAT.....good memories

don't believe the hype - it took me a lot of years to pluck up the courage to watch it, in the end all the hype was rubbish, it was just a very enjoyable horror film, well acted with plenty of gore (pea soup) - It is deffinately worth asking someone to watch it with you the first time around though if your unsure of yourself - it's a treat

i first watched it when i was 14 and found it frightening, ive watsched it since being an adult and laughed the whole way through, i cant believe i once found it scary

yes its good, it also has a subliminal picture in the movie of a demons face,,,true that,,,icant remember which frame it is on,,but its about 20 mins into the film,..try googling it,good luck.

well its not that scary..i have seen scarier....but it is a good movie to watch. but i must warn you there is alot of boring talking parts.
