I ask this because last night my husband told me that one of the reasons he fell in love with me was because I'm such a great cook. Every time I'm at the stove cooking breakfast or dinner my husband will walk by and say " Baby... you look so sexy right now!!" And a lot of women I've talked to lately say they don't know how to boil water. I cook and bake because I love to do it. I never thought it would snag me a husband!

Is a woman more attractive if she can cook? Yes
but there are many more things also that make a woman attractive to a guy.
Of course there's that physical appearance that many guys look for, a girl who is outgoing, fun to be around, beautiful, amongst other things.
If a girl can cook that is definitely a plus in my book. It shows that she is talented and that is willing to experiment many things in life, creative. Kind of like when someone is cooking, you have to be creative and experiment different spices and ingredients.
Yeah if you can cook, that's really good

What is attractive to a guy is the woman's heart towards a man. The being able to cook is just an added plus for the man because that means that he won't have to cook all the meals for himself or eat out all the time if he can't cook and if the woman's heart is attractive she will generally love the man enough to want to cook for him occasionally

not all the guys are the same
lots a years ago, if a woman knew how to cook well then she was the best choice for marriage because they thought that she would be nice character, caring and she would be ok with the kids. this is how they used to choose the person that would marry them (or their children).
however, its 2007. the ability to cook doesn't make someone attractive. someone may like it because they like food (meals are a great time of the day), some other would say yes because of the custom of getting married to a good woman.
taking everything into account, you cant say that someone is attractive bcs he/she can cook. if you think your partner likes you better if u can cook then show him that you can, or you are trying to.
its up to one's mind...

Not that I see her as more "attractive"
It is just another thing that we can share
Like say she knows I will have a long hard day at work, it is nice to come home to her cooking....Cooking a real mean and not microwaving corndogs or baking fish stix. NOT saying that I want tequila lime shrimp.
Plus if she can cook it opens up romantic things, like shopping hand in hand for dinner and then we make it together.
I LOVE to cook and it is nice if when I ask her "what did you make for dinner" she does not always say "Reservations"
Cooking is not that hard

No I can cook, probably better than most women.
Attraction and sex, will probably be the, the first link.
This will will be taken over, by friendship, understanding, compassion, feelings that can turn to love?
Well some time if you meet the right person.
If you meet a man that is only interested in food, walk away, in future years he will not want to make love to you.

i want to date a chick that i could have relaxing with (chemistry) over all else. yet she additionally should be a minimum of cute. Cooking is a sizable plus for settling down, yet not required. Out of the two chicks you suggested, i could %. the only I had greater chemistry with except i wasn't bodily fascinated in the common chick (then i could %. the gorgeous chick no rely if or not she cooked).

Nah it doesn't really matter. I could care less if she set my food on fire as long as i like her for her and enjoy being around her, but i would probably have to pass on the burnt food and yes being a good cook is always a plus but should never be a requirement or expectation.

Not the only way, but it is one way. Not only do I want a girl who can cook a respectable meal (mac & cheese doesn't count), but I want a girl that can cook a big turkey day meal when were old and have grandkids.

If she cooks well, it's going to make a guy happy to come over and dine with her. It certainly isn't going to make her any less attractive.
Wouldn't a guy be more attractive to a girl if he was a good cook?
