Computer memory and storage are both measured in "bytes". A byte is basically one "character".

If you have 1024 bytes, it is called a kilobyte (or kb)
If you have 1024 kb it is called a megabyte (or mb)
If you have 1024 mb it is called a gigbyte (or gb)
If you have 1024 gb is it called a terabyte (or tb)

Sometimes 1000 is used instead of 1024 when jumping from mb to gb to tb.

A gigabyte is larger than a megabyte.

In order:

Bit
Byte
Kilobyte
Megabyte
Gigabyte
Terabyte
Petabyte
Exabyte

There are 8 bits in one Byte, after that they come in multiples of 1024.
