How funny you should ask this question. I was going through items that my great aunt left which dated back to the turn of the century, 1899, and low and behold, there was an article about my great aunt appearing in a theater whistling tunes of the era, is that a riot?! Never knew that type of talent existed; it shows you what type of entertainment people liked back then . . . . . . . yes, I can whistle!

This Old Dawg was whistling Dixie, The Yellow Rose Of Texas and Tumbling Tumble Weed from The Sons Of The Pioneers [w/ Roy Rogers] & others. For a long time....
As a child - I would ride right beside Roy & Dale [In my dreams]....

I can't do great with a tune, but I am a champ with my fingers! The rule was if my kids did not here me whistle for them, they were way too far from home and were grounded. I know, so feminine!

I can't whistle unless I put my fingers in my mouth. Then I can make those really loud whistles which I do like when I watch my grand kids at their soccer games. I get excited when they score a goal, what can I say. lol

No, sadly I cannot whistle in any fashion. I cannot even carry a tune while singing :(

Yes I can. I can also do it while using my fingers, but not as loudly as I'd like.
