I think everyone is capable of loving someone or something but often how they were raised determines their values and that in turn influences who and what they love. someone raised in a family where love is never expressed or shown may never learn how to express or enjoy love.unless they see it expressed somewhere else, or their love may be distorted. A girl who has seen her mother "love" an abuser, will find it easier to stay with and think she loves an abuser when it is the terror of being hurt that her mother was actually feeling. Or perhaps that person may equate control that their father showed as love and so become a very controlling person themselves. If a person gets into a relationship with someone who has one of these traits they may end up being hurt, thinking that the other person has no heart and is incapable of love and then become incapable of love themselves for fear of trusting another person and so it becomes a vicious circle.
the answer I think is to get to know a person better before letting things get to the point of love and avoiding those who have a distorted view of it. One of the best things I have found for judging people is their handwriting because no matter how much they may lie, the handwriting always tells what the person is like with something like 80% accuracy and studying a person's body language also can help to avoid those who are not capable of love. And I object to the answer below me. Maybe it's cause we haven't found the one man that will make us fall in love. SORRY PEOPLE; WE CAN'T ALL GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST 10 TIMES. And it's only lonely if you want it to be. People who don't fall in love would rather be alone a lot of times than with someone. I've always been able to have company when I want it.

not sure what you are asking for but here is what i say...

some people are not capable of loving someone else because sometimes people are just not ready to have a relationship at all. some people tend to feel that they have other priorities in life that are way more important than falling in love and settling down.

the best thing to do in a matter like this is to understand that not everyone is going to bow to your heart. not everyone is going to want what you want in life. and sometimes you just have to accept that.

I don't think they are uncapable of loving I just think some people are selfish. They want what they want when they want it. Everyone can love but the ones with the problem are usually down right selfish people.

i don't think anyone is incapable of loving. i think before you judge them (or yourself) as incapable at love you have to look at the reasons why they act this way. maybe they were hurt too many times in the past. if anything, they (or you) choose not to love.
