I can imagine McDonalds being interested in Pork wings and it would save a fortune in transport costs especially if you could make homing pigs that fly to the Abatoir on their own.

You misspelled slaughterhouse. Genetic engineering will produce flying pigs when pigs will fly. Or when sheep learn karate. Whichever comes first.

It's possiable but impractical.

The wings on the pig would have to be incredably large for the pig to life off the ground, and then the wings would add weight to the already heavy pig and would make it so heavy it would'nt be able to walk.

Maybe a pig with wings that could jump fairly high with a better set of legs, but I doubt a flying one.

Not likely. The modifications that would need to be made would be so great, it would hardly be a pig any more. For one thing, flying things have a much lighter body weight to allow them to fly. Pigs are massive in a compact bulky way. If you ever tried to pick up even a baby pig you would be surprised at how much it weighed for it's size.

a possibility for a pig to fly would have its bones to be light weight and have very big wings the size of a condor or a vulture with a very strong muscles, its diet would be a quarter of what pigs eat today, and it would not have feathers it would probably have wings like a pteranadon

you would have to cross a mini pig with a duck. the pigs bone would have to be hollow and weight contents more like a bird. Ducks float so well because of their oily fat content large wings would be a start to some acid trip. but I would be more interested in a dark meat pig like a hampshire know for their juicy non dry meat your coundent burn the jucys ness out of a hampshire best pork meat ever but a little on she small side compared to the American standard of the yorkshire with its huge size light pink meat and unforgivingly dry texture. Hampshire would be a better candidate for cloning do to the fact we have eaten them out of existence and only 200 to 300 registered pure breeds left. wings on a pig LMFAO

We're going to have some interesting discussions about what constitutes a species when we get that advanced. Next question, "when its possible, will you have your children engineered smaller, lighter, stronger, with eagle eyes able to see thermals and wings to fly with?" I'll admit it would be a temptation for me.

I can make a pig fly right now. It's the landing that needs work.

Eventually. But it'll need a forced draft respiratory system like the bumblebee in order to develop the necessary power to mass ratio. Just don't look up. They poop much harder than pigeons.

But, it would be worth it just to meet the necessary condition to require the grudging fulfillment of so many promises.
