There's been other strategies: vote in the opposition, Congress halting war spending, peace marches, etc.

I was thinking more along the lines of the 80s/90s student movements that boycotted companies investing in apartheid-era South Africa. Eventually, even state governments even joined the boycott, which meant large-scale assets were diverted from S.A. And the PR was disasterous for embedded companies.

Does anyone have ideas on how to stop the war or what to possibly boycott? It's not like Haliburton has publicly sold products that we could boycott or something. (Besides, their revenue stream comes from government, not from the general public.)

What about Coke and/or Pepsi -- and all of their products (Taco Bell, etc, etc)? I can't think of a direct link, but they might at least lobby politicians if they start losing money ...

You know, oddly I agree with "IGUS" about boycotting Iran and China. But that does nothing to stop the war. Where to start? It's worth it to research how you spend your grocery money and where you buy gas. For example, Chevron is a major supporter of the military dictatorship in Mynamar (aka Burma). I found a good website that can give you some ideas of what companies are better or worse than others:
http://www.coopamerica.org/
If you've got money to invest, don't buy stock in unethical companies:

But as for "stopping the war": Well, if 3/4 or more of the U.S. public knew that answer, we'd be outta there. It's a multi-layered problem, ya know...

Good idea .... how about we get rid of the terrorist!!!!! I think that would do it .... lets try that....lets all make a point to find a terrorist then when there are none remaining who would we be at war with?

Why dont you try boycotting stuff made in China? They apparently for no reason decided to try and poison our children or dont you care about children? Maybe you like the taste of poisoned fish?

Why dont you boycot stuff from Iran ... they have said they will kill everyone in Israel .... dont you care about people in Israel?

Were do you start and were do you stop? Maybe you should do nothing since its not your life that is given up to fight terrorist! No one is asking you to die for anything ... thats left to stand up people in the military who actually will do something for what they believe in....they will die and they will do it because they know they fight for your right so say lets boycott taco bell. My friends died so you could say that. Want to stop the war? Stop the terrorist.

How about starting with honey. A lot of the profits from the sale of honey in jars packaged oversease goes to the coffers of the very terrorist groups that want to kill us. Maybe if they go broke, the war might stop.

Bush and Cheney have to go, by whatever means necessary. Demonstrations do NOTHING. The media doesn't even give them minor coverage any more.
