The scariest movie Ive seen is the Exorcist. Alot people find it silly but, Its the point of the story that really scared me. It was done in the 70's so I understand why pea soup wasnt that interesting.

Watch Phantasm 1 and 2 in a dark room by yourself and let me know what you think. It's worth it, because their really good besides being incredibly scary.
I was one of the first to see "Alien." It was a packed large movie theatre. I never heard people scream like that (at that time, no one knew what to expect).
A movie that stills scares me even though I've seen it many times: "The Shining."
