What is your answer to this question?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, when your in traffic, especially rush hour in major cities, the north bound lane has a traffic accident with cops, lights, ambulance,etc... The south bound lane that has no accident all of a sudden comes to a complete stop. Why? People in front of you in their cars are slowing down to look over the divider in the freeway to see the accident.

If you think about it, it's kind of twisted how us humans think and want to see.

To add to this, yes I will look. Only when traffic has slowed down. If traffic isn't affected, I normally won't look because I'm driving and don't want to be that person in the wreck that I drove past.

Most mortals do have a morbid sense of curiousity.

People are to nosy. They just have to get up into everyones business, and who wants to look at hurt people anyways, you enjoy looking at those poor people.

Last week, we sat in traffic for 30 minutes, because there was 2 cars on the side of the road (like 4 feet from the road), and one reer ended the other, hardly a dent, yeah, so, I sat there for half an hour, so people could look at a tiny dent in a car

SO STUPID

People are nosey- it's a common human trait. I hate when people slow down to see a car with a flat tire on the side of the freeway. Now that's annoying!

People like action. They watch action TV shows and if you hear action outside your window, you get up to see what it is.

And it happens all over the world too. When I was in Paris, there was a major slow down and it turn out that a man apparently had a heart attach and we could see them performing CPR on him. That is what slowed that traffic down that day.

I always look just to make sure it's not a loved one. I don't slow down unless the traffic in front of me does

Are you saying you DON'T look? I think it is just human nature to be nosy and curious. It is something happening that is out of the ordinary every day occurances, and so everyone wants to pause to take a look. I don't really know why other than to say that it's just something different - everyone is curious what happened to the person, how and why it happened, etc.

Curiosity

I slow down because there is likely going to be people trying to help such as police, fire and ambulance and I give them plenty of room. If it was me needing help, I'd hope others passing by would be courtious to the people helping.
