I've pondered this question about many a socialist lately and it's brought me to one conclusion;
These people don't WANT to live in some other socialist nation. They want to turn AMERICA into a socialist nation. This way they can have both the most powerful country in the world AND socialism.
They want to have their cake and eat it too.
What they fail to realize is that Rugged Individualism is a major part of what made this country great.
They AREN'T against AMERICA. They need and desire AMERICA'S power and influence. What they are against is America AS WE KNOW IT and they are trying very hard to create it in their image.

Nothing Obama will do can prevent a deep recession now. It's going to be years before the problem is fixed. Making government bigger is not the answer. Letting the banks fail would have helped. I don't think they are anti-American. They want him to fail because it will prove their point about big government. And spare me.. how many times did you see "Not My President" when people were referring to Bush? Are they any less patriotic for being dissenters? Or that's just when someone liberals don't like is in power?

"He appears to be against the U.S.A. in every way"
any examples? he appears to be or is?
so if it is just appears to be then why would you want him to move?
it appears to me that you are anti American so i think it is time for you to move.
since this country is basically split into two parts and both sides think the other side is anti American why don't all of you leave?

Just because someone doesn't agree with YOU they are a Communist? Good grief! Who the hell are you anyway? Talk about free speech. You want yours but don't dare let the Senator speak, right? Sounds kind of Fascist to me.
Heroes stand and face their enemy whether with ideas, words or guns. Cowards wish their enemy move to another country or cower in the presence of their enemy.

Even Iraq hates him:
"Iraq's prime minister, Nuri Maliki, has hit back at senior US politicians who have called for him to be removed from office. He singled out senators Hillary Clinton and Carl Levin. He said the Democratic senators were acting as if Iraq was "their property" and that they should "come to their senses" and "respect democracy"

Senator Levin plays hardball, but is not against the USA. If you look at his voting record on several of the funding issues he does vote for America.

What is the basis of your observation? Personally, I cannot think of a more PRO-American Senator in all of Congress. I have a hunch that you're just spewing political venom for the sake of it. Can you come up with more than two or three things that make him "anti-American" that is based on fact and not just your own personal bias? I doubt it.

A liberal democrat from the Great State of Michigan. The only reason he stays in the USA is because those idiots in Detroit keep electing him because he has done sooooo much for the Auto industry. (wink, wink)
