As the first answerer said, "Oxyclean." It works great on organic stains (like blood, grape juice, blueberry stains, etc).

It doesn't work well on grease or inorganic materials.

Also, they now sell disposable doggie diapers at the pet store. :) They are so cute! Or you can get those little panties that take a pad. Here's a money-saving tip: Instead of buying the pads at the pet store, go to the grocery and buy the cheapo regular pads for women (in an appropriate size for your dog). They are the same thing and cost a lot less! :)

Good luck! :)

Any medical grade detergent is great on blood stains and can offten be found at local retaliers.

Also, a cheaper method, but it really works best with a few hours of the stain is weting a rag with cold water and a then puting a couple drops of amonia on the stain its self then laying the rag over the stain, put somthing with a little wieght on top and let is sit untill the stain is gone, it shouldnt take more then a couple hours.

I second the Oxi Clean. It removes just about every thing, I even used to take dried up paint out of the carpets. Follow the directions for the carpet, and for the stains on the sheets, mix and apply, and then wash.

Hydrogen peroxide works great for blood. Test the fabric first. Also, you can actually buy decorated cloth "diapers" for dogs in heat!

This sounds crazy but SHAVING CREAM will get blood out of almost ANYTHING!! it's true. my cousin got into a really bad fight and someone mentioned shaving cream to get the blood out of his clothes, after looking at them like they are crazy we tried it and....IT WORKED.

it is something you have in the house so it wouldnt hurt to try it.

it will also usually take away the smell as well
