The situation seems very tender to me:

If the mother wants to abort the pregnancy and the father does not, the mother inflicts no doubt a great pain on the father, or the father forces the mother to have a baby.

If the mother does not want to abort the pregnancy and the father does, the father has to support the child.

Yes, but his influence ends at persuasion. He cannot compel the mother to carry the child. And if the mother tells him to sod off and won't talk to him, it needs to end at that point. The father's right to choose ended when he ejaculated into the mother. Nobody forced him to make the baby, and now it's mommy's baby to keep or dispose of as she will. You don't like this? Then abstain, or use a prophylactic and hope it does not break. Or have a vasectomy. But the choice to bear or abort is entirely up to mommy.

In a perfect world he should have a say - to a point. Why should the mother be the ultimate decision maker in the relationship? If he wants to carry through with the pregnancy and raise the child on his own, why not?

Since the "father"(sperm donor) is expected to pay child support, then the same person should have some input concerning abortion, choice of doctor, religion, and all other child-rearing-related issues. Heck, sometimes the egg-donor is the less capable/desirable potential parent.

Once the child is born, wouldn't he have parental rights and couldn't he possibly be ordered to pay child support? I don't know the law in this area, but if these things are true, shouldn't he have some say in wheather or not the child is killed before it's born.

Absolutely not. what right does a man have to tell a woman she has to get an abortion? Is he going to live with the pain? is he going to live with the guilt? I highly doubt it. If these self righteous men are so worried about child support, then they should've kept their pants zipped.

Sorry no...especially since she is not your wife and doesn't want to carry your child for perhaps her own very good reasons. I would think about condoms...birth control should not be an abortion. She also is to blame for not using birth control.

He can influence the decision but ultimately that decision is the woman's. That is why a man must make certain to use a condom and protect his sperm before it enters a woman's body and becomes a part of her body. Good luck. 2D

The mother in all cases can have an abortion without the father's consent, be it rape, sex between friends or sex within marriage.

Ain't Roe vs Wade wonderful?

Yes, since he can get stuck with child support if the woman keeps it. I hate the catch 22 in this stuff.

Only if he intends to provide emotional, physical and financial support for the child indefinitely.
