Right now, the Democrats, because of thier failure to come through with anything they promised ahead of the '06 Congressional elections. But, that'll change as soon as the Republicans have a big win, then they're broken promisses will be at the forefront.
Truth is, politicians know when they make campaign promises that they either don't intend to, or won't be able to keep them - and that everyone knows that, and no one cares.

I think both are pretty equal in this department....Remember "no new taxes" from reps and then of course the promise of healthcare for the clintons the first go round...politicians are politicians...i vote democrat , but really you are voting for the best of the worst because once whoever we vote in gets in office, they cater to special interests etc....so until we overhaul the lobbying system (this will never happen) politicians will cater to lobbyists.

Let's see, Democrats have promised universal health-care and an end to poverty for about 30-40 years now.
Republicans keep getting elected on the abortion thing.
Hmm. I don't see a difference here.

The whole thundering hurd. Many find out when they arrive in their new office things they thought they could do were impossible. Others just assumed they could and possibly after reading material we have no access to suddenly realized that there were extenuating circumstances they had no idea of (I believe this happened to Hillary and Obama reference Iraq), and of course there are those that just spoke without the brain engaged.

Republicans:
Smaller Government; And its BIGGER than ever!
Spend less: And public spending at RECORD LEVELS!
Total hypocrisy: Not ONE veto while Republicans were in the majority, NOW the VETO PEN RULES!
Family values: And scandals ABOUND!
Dems promise higher taxes, and they will have to raise taxes after the Bush spending spree. (The piggy bank is empty.)

Reagan and Bush 2. Oh, who recalls "Read my lips. No new taxes!"?
At least we had a balanced budget for once in our life times. Thanks Bill.
Due to a balanced budget, the US dollar was the bomb. Now, all the US does is drop bombs.
