There were a larger number of people who were interesting......but, it's getting better.

1. Going to a lot of doctor appointments, being in the hospital, having surgery. I spent a lot of time in the hospital, and I still do sometimes. I'm close with a lot of the nurses and doctors, so I always say hi when I'm there. My earliest memory is of the day I was diagnosed with a heart condition at age 2. 2. Shopping on Black Friday. My mom and I would split up from my dad so we could get twice the coupons. 3. Playing in the snow with my dad. 4. Hanging out with my dad on weekend mornings. My mom always slept late so we would watch cartoons and play games. 5. Every time my grandma would spend the night, I would sing her My Heart Will go On before bed. It's our special song. 6. Having Christmas and Thanksgiving at my great-grandma's house. We still do, but the atmosphere was different when my cousins and I were younger. We would play with our great-aunt and explore the house (its old and kinda creepy). 7. Going to Disney World. We used to go at least once a year, and I've even been with my friends a few times. 8. My mom having a cancer scare. There was a spot on her lung and there was a 90% chance that is was stage 3 lung cancer. She would've only had a few months to live. I was only 7 when she had surgery to biopsy her lung. It wasn't cancer, and everyone decided that I should be the one to tell her when she woke up. She was still groggy, but I sat on her bed and said "Mommy, you don't have cancer." We'll both remember that moment for the rest of our lives. 9. Seeing my best friend, who is a year younger than me. Our moms had been best friends since middle school, so we hung out all the time. 10. I used to get nervous on the way to school in kindergarten and first grade. I really liked school (it was a nice private school and my teacher was great) but for some reason I was scared. Once we passed the railroad tracks (about 5 minutes away from school), my mom would start singing to me to help me relax. I've been feeling super nostalgic lately, so this was a perfect question! :)

Yes I do.

Then I came back after an extended leave and suddenly I'm supposed to conform to other people's idea of "fun" and get trolled for not conforming.

The old days are gone.

Yes, before the trolls took over and drove most of the interesting people away. What a shame.

No, I've only visited US Answers for a few weeks now. I think it's great. I am enjoying it much more than the other Answers website I came from.
