I would try the option 2 first and if that doesn't turn out to be as great, go to option 1.

I would do my best to find the owner on my own. IF and this is IF I could NOT find the owner I would then call the police and turn it in to them. I would use the police only if I were unable to find the owner as even tho I hate to say this, there are just a few bad cops. And I would hate to turn it in to a bad cop and it never get back to the owner.I would NOT keep it.

first, the 1923 dated invoice must be a pair of million-a million/2 situations as great as a contemporary greenback invoice. if no longer that's pretend. no count if that's, rather worth 5-10 income circulated difficulty. 2nd, 2 greenback costs have thomas jefferson on them, no longer andrew jackson. if a majority of those are circulated, rather worth 10-50 cents over face fee. sorry, they're too effortless to be rather worth lots. in the event that they're crisp new do no longer FOLD THEM !! take them to a qualified numismatist (coin broker) for a ideal assessment

1.. making a night deposit for the company I worked for, I walked up to the chute, there was a deposit bag sticking out of it. it was a 5 plex movie theaters deposit and was bulging with cash. I put it in the chute and dropped it then deposited ours locked it and left, but all the way home I was thinking that I could have went to that 5 plex and hand it to them, and hopefully get a reward. I never thought of keeping it because I'm not a thief. I may be dumb though. .Untraceable Cash?

it depends on what it was. if its something like a family heirloom that i knew ppl would be really sad about then id try to find whoever lost it. but if it was a big bag of pot or a thick gold chain or something like that id probably keep it.
