Avocados are great for babies, my daughter loves them. You can start yogurt now along with egg yolks.

Below is a great link of age appropriate foods for babies.

Really, your breastmilk is all she needs for fat.

Your milk is complete. Why do you want to give her 'fattening' food? Is it you that's concerned or the doctor? Make sure that if it's a doctor they are referring to the breastfed baby charts and not the old formula baby charts. Breastfed children grow at their own rate, the actual rate they were genetically designed to grow at.

If you are truly concerned with her fat intake, up the amount you're nursing her.

Also, you should look into a book called Super Baby food by Yaron. The author is a vegetarian and has great meal plans and ideas for feeding babies and small children healthy foods.

By this time my daughter was eating all of those foods, I would also recommend avocado as it is rich in healthy fats. If you look around you should be able to get soy yogurt which is very healthy for you and your baby. Good luck here is a website for you where you can make your own foods and get some guidelines on what age for what foods. Good luck

May I ask why you're worried about fat? Iron and protein are the bigger concerns.

Opinions on egg yolk and yogourt vary from I think six months to a full year. The "rules" for that sort of thing sort of depend on what country you're in, how many allergies run in your family, etc.

There's no reason she can't have legumes and beans now.
