Crabs.
One attached itself to my knee as a small child when I was learning to swim. I received stitches and still carry the scar. I don't run away from them, they just creep me out.

something terrible happening to my kids especially i cry for the parents of the missing children, i know it would be devastating to lose a child to a terrible disease etc,,,,but to have someone just steal your child never ever having closure never knowing everyday what the child is going through id probably kill myself or be in a nut house
