Now that the world series is over and the hot stove league is here, what do you think the team will do. What do you think we need to do? Get a new catcher? More pitching? Who's getting dumped?

Pitching, Pitching, and more pitching. Starters, and middle relief..

After that is settled, start getting the outfield in order.

I think they will get LoDocu back as a catcher, and I think they should really re-sign Shawn Greene in the outfield.

Castillo filed for free agency yesterday morning, and I think the Mets should lock him up quick so they can have second base under control.

Not a Mets fan but here is where they start, PITCHING! They might reup LoDuca but will test the free agent market first to see what else is out there, they may go for less pop if they can find a better game manager. Resign Green, find more pitching, look for starters, relievers...anyone that can throw! Then shop Delgado and Alou look for a taker on them to get some youth, maybe look for one more Outfielder. Let Castillo go, he is past his prime, his game was speed and now that speed is gone, he does nto make errors because he does get to balls any more. Then GET MORE PITCHING!!! They need starters that can go 162 games!

The Mets need to work on the bullpen, especially middle relief, say bye to carlos delgado.(he's done) Resign Laduca, Sign or trdae for a new first basemen, or move shaun green to first, and millage in the outfield slot.

Get some fire in the lockeroom, and do not sign AROD, I don't want him. Maybe find A top quality starter as well, but the market will be thin...Maybe Schilling for a year or two.

It will mostly be about pitching both starting and relief pitching this off-season. That's the main worries with them right now. I think the Mets might resign Paul LoDuca, and try to see if they can add anybody else possibly an outfielder as Moises Alou isn't the answer.

Once again its pitching, definetly relief/closing pitchers
it was the cause of the failures in both 06 & 07

They need to add at least one more starter, two more arms for the bullpen, and probably another outfielder. I'd love to see them make a play for Posada. If he's going to leave the Yankees, why not convince him to stay in town?
