day light saving time is more than just an hour back or forward once every .

Just as sunflowers turn their heads to catch every sunbeam, so too have we discovered a simple way to get more from our sun.

That's all about daylight saving.

On spring we turn our clocks one our ahead (from 3am to 4 am) that mean we lose one hour, or we sleep an hour less

And on autumn we turn clocks one hour back, that mean (from 3am to 2 am) so we sleep one hour more.

And yes when you change your clock, if you turn it back one hour at 12 midnight to 11 pm, you will have 12 midnight once again.

But the official time change
begins at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday of March and
ends at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of November

So on March when days starts to get bigger we change time to one hour forward, from 2 am to 3 am, that means day comes one hour earlier and night comes one hour later.

That way we not only have longer days but we save energy as well.

Studies done by the U.S. Department of Transportation show that Daylight Saving Time trims the entire country's electricity usage by a small but significant amount, about one percent each day, because less electricity is used for lighting and appliances.

Daylight saving is for the farmers, so they get extra light in the morning, when they're working. It depends what time you set your clock back. If you set it back when it hits twelve midnight, then you'll be putting your clock back to 11pm. I wouldn't stay up just to put your clocks back though!! just do it in the morning and have an extra hour in bed!

Daylight Saving Time is another name for British Summer Time (BST) and the time we're in now is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The hour actually changes at 1am GMT on the specified Sunday morning, so when we go to bed on the Saturday night, we simply move our clocks back one hour in October (so we have an extra hour in bed!), and forward one hour in March (one hour's less sleep!). There's never two of any hour, it's simply like a timeslip of one hour. (Spring forward and Fall back!). The site below is quite good if you're really interested in learning more.

If the slaves keep on getting up for work at the same time of day winter and summer(UK) then in the winter they'll either have to slave in the fields in the dark or the overseer will have to pay for light.Obviously better to sneak the clock forward and get the slaves rocking and rolling with the free light god(s)(whichever one or three)have provided in the morning.
It for you to wrestle with what happens in the evening and in summer. But the slavedriver wins every time.
Seriously,it's to do with the fact that the earths axis is tilted.

The time alters at 2am in the mornng of Sunday... So 2am becomes 1 am or in spring 2am becomes 3am so there is no effect on the 12 midnight.. There could be two 1 am though unless you break it down to split seconds...

If you turn your clock back at say 11 pm. You will be turning it back to 10 pm which means you will have another 10 pm. It gives you another hour that you had just lost. So depending on what time you turn your clock back, yes you get another hour

Here in the USA, we "fall back" at 2:00 am on Sunday, November 2, 2007.

So when the clock strikes 2:00 am, it becomes 1:00 am.

In the UK, the clocks go back at 2am - so you have 1am twice. This used to be great in nightclubs when they use to shut at two, becuase the clocks would go back and you'd get another hour.

At the beginning of Summer Time, the clocks jump from 1am to 2am, so you lose the same hour you gained in October.

No matter how I try to figure this one out-- there is no savings of anything including time nor daylight! In other words: It really doesn't work at all!

So what will I do after change my clock back again this time?
