It is by state, not by the federal government. You need to choose a state to look by and then visit their law library website and you will be able to find it there. Just use a search engine and type in "Nevada law library." Or whatever state.

Other than the US Tax Code, and passages of the INS regulations on foreign spouses, the US Law is pretty much silent on marriage.

You want to look at state laws. Not federal. Each state makes their own rules.

Laws governing marriage vary from state to state.

You can search for a state's name and "Marriage law" to find it for your state.
