Because it is their only hope of getting elected. I just can't believe that so many people would vote for or support a group after that group has out right said "Give me your money because you're too stupid to handle it yourselves". It amazes me.

That's simple. Democrats derive their power from the belief that only THEY can take care of you from cradle to grave and you NEED them.
Don't kid yourself though, there are a BUNCH of Republicans that have used the same tactics to usurp freedoms and establish our current police state.
You can't blame FDR, LBJ and the Clintons for ALL of it. Both Bushes have had a hand in it and so have the majority of Republican legislators in the last two decades.
If this weren't true, we would not have the Dept. of Homeland Security, the Patriot Act or the '86 gun ban.
Democrats want you to believe that THEY will provide you with everything you need to live well at taxpayers' expense if you continue to elect them.
Republicans would believe that your rights MUST be subjugated so THEY can keep you safe. Both concepts are equally insidious!

They are either blind, stupid or in denial. Probably a little of all three.
Almost every word out of Clinton's mouth has to do with socialist ideals. Robbing Peter to pay Paul, etc etc. "To give others health care coverage, we have to take from some." An actual quote from the witch Hillary.
And practically every Dem preaches the same things.

The agenda John, is democratic socialism. Meaning tax, tax, and more tax. This eventually becomes dictatorial socialism of communism, where private industries are forcibly taken over by the government.
Keep an eye on Argentina and see how long it takes for the new president to either take total control and the people really complain, or she is overthrown. Hillary is her idol!

You know, I'm a Democrat, and have been voting that way since 1984.
And the government has done nothing for me. At least I can't rely on it.
And I'm still a Democrat.
The Democratic party doesn't even have to promise me lame tax rebates, theoretical tax cuts, or protection from the terrorist boogeymen.
I'm pretty cool with that.

Do you rely on government (WE the People) democratically elected, and under "OUR" command, or do we give our freedoms to Feudal Lords, and Multi-national corporations often run by foreign governments, like China and Saudi Arabia? Both forces are too large for any one Individual to take on. So, we have to put a level of trust in one or the other. You choose. But, Feudalism was tried for many years. Neoconservative Feudalism is nothing new.
