Ok, so I have been blocked which is a bit childesh to me and it got me thinking that the policy should be "If you can not stand the heat get out of the kitchen" I have yet to block anyone from the politics section and dont plan to, if i dont like the questioner i dont answer, its really that simple. If that person answers my question I just disregard it, its not hard to do. But I have noticed a lot of people have been blocked adn No its not just one side, its both! Anyway, does anyone agree w/ this policy???

Agree, they suspended my acct and won't say why. Other than a violation... The only thing I could think of is a remark about someone wanting to know about what to do about 20 or so wild cats at their home and one attacked her husband. I said the one that attacked would be dead. I still don't get what was wrong with that. I also had about 33k points. Perhaps, that was it. And I don't agree with the left loons.. Maybe, it was a combination of them all. I do know that I have never bashed and used the foul things I see here. But, it's usually from the left so, I guess it's OK... And I bet you NEVER see a "top contributer" that leans right.. want to bet?

Perhaps...but there are those people who will hound you and fill your email box with poisonous spew, because they have nothing better to do, and they think they are accomplishing something by finally getting no response. They are a pure waste of time. Them I block. I could just ignore them on Y!A, but not when they invite themselves into my email. I wonder if any of them are reading this post?

I agree. I don't even block psycho, irritable people like blueridgeliving. It's not worth it to me to block someone I can laugh at because they are miserable with their lives.

***blueridge - get over it. I don't dislike you, just how you express your opinions (I'm not innocent either by the way).Your ideas are radical and depressing most all the time, that is the reason for the personal attacks. However, I think we agreed on one thing not too long ago. :) ***

Generally, yes, I agree.

But I would hazard a guess that you weren't blocked because of what you were saying, but rather how you were saying it.

You can criticize, even severly, without coming across as name-calling and abuse, which is against policy. Example:This politician is retarded and incompetent.=This politician does not see the big picture, and has made some poor decisions.

Remember, "politics" comes from the same word as "polite".

It doesn't sound as if you are suggesting some kind of Yahoo! policy to be enacted. Your attitude is one with which I completely agree, and if you are saying that Yahoo! should re-consider its policy of allowing people to block other people, then I agree with you.

I don't care if they block me. I have blocked one person who didn't want to back off and is a minor. I do keep a list on my profile. Just for reference.

I disagree. There are folks on here who are unutterably rude and insulting. I only block those kinds of people. But I like having the ability to do that.

If someone is especially hateful and rude in questions i block as they have a tendency to go into your account and stalk you if you disagree with them or ask a wrong question..
Bu I have blocked a few not many.I have been blocked too.
