It's the only technical college in the two counties so it's the only option. As technical colleges go, it's as good as any other technical/community college in the SC system.

I'd not imagine too many people move to Myrtle Beach just to go to HGTC unless they're trying to get into Coastal Carolina and can't get in yet.

They have an outstanding horticulture/turf program over there - some of the places those students do internships at are top notch.
