Craig S- I agree with what you're saying about chemistry, but A-Rod is a whole new animal. Believe me, I've known 4 years of A-Rod in NY. It's not that he's a bad clubhouse guy, it's that he IS the clubhouse. The Homers and RBI are great and the defense is great too, but not at the price of your team's soul. He's a traveling circus. Reporters ask questions like "so what do you think of A-Rod going 0 for 4 today?" to other people. It gets old, quick.

The Mariners are 'my' team by virtue of location.
Bringing A-rod back to Seattle to play third base would be a BIG improvement from what we have seen lately. It would also provide depth and help for a young shortstop.
If devoted to being a great day in - day out good teammate, he could be the offensive part needed to get to the post season again.
The needs are great in the pitching rotation, and the bullpen could use some help, and I believe that should be a higher priority for the club than reaching for the best player to wear a baseball uniform (so far).

He'll never come to Toronto, but I'd love to see him in a Jays uniform.
I know he often doesn't seem to have a clue about how to act off the field, but it's tough to pass up 50+ homers and great defense at the shortstop position. I also think he'll thrive even more playing outside the pressures of the New York fans and media, and I don't see how he wouldn't help any team.
Will he be best friends with his teammates? I'm not sure, and I don't really care too much. I know people talk about "chemistry" being important to winning, but I think that's nonsense. If chemistry was so critical, then I don't know how you'd have the A's dynasty in the 1970s, considering they had a clubhouse of guys who despised each other. Even the Yankees of the late-90s had some inner-club squabbles. Winning breeds chemistry, not the other way around.

game a million - Carlos Zambrano pitches a lighting fixtures furnishings out game against the White Sox. He provides up 2 hits, strikes out 8 and provides up no runs in an entire game shutout. Ryan Theriot rankings on a base hit by Kosuke Fukudome interior the suited of the 5th and the Cubs win the sport a million-0. game 2 - wealthy Harden, the guy anybody pronounced could be on the DL in his 2nd Cubs initiate has a suited time out surprising out 15 batters. The Cubs offense returned isn't very effective on the line purely pushing a million run in the time of on a solo residing house run by Aramis Ramirez. they're nevertheless no longer enjoying as great on the line as they're at residing house, yet they're getting the job accomplished. game 3 - The Cubs offense explodes for 15 runs of their first game back at Wrigley. anybody on the team gets a fulfillment and rankings a run. Soto, Lee, Ramirez and DeRosa all hit a house run. Cubs win 15-3 in a blowout. game 4 - The Cubs play all of their back up gamers to furnish them an threat interior the international sequence. The back united statesembarass the White Sox pushing 8 runs in the time of and closing them out. Ron Santo merely approximately has a heart attack from the buzz of the Cubs international sequence victory. the city of Chicago is going insane for the Cubs first international sequence in ninety 9 years. i'm hoping it happens this 300 and sixty 5 days, yet probability is that if the Cubs made it to the international sequence they might not be enjoying the White Sox. they had extra then probably play the crimson Sox or the Angels. EDIT: LMFAO at Fozzy's reaction. supply that guy 10 factors. i do no longer think of it gets lots extra useful then that.

No (I'm a Red Sox fan) and after it was announced A-Rod opted out of his contract people were chanting "Don't sign A-Rod" that in itself should tell you how much he would be hated here
If you thought Yankees fan treated him badly, than you will be in for a rude awakening if he ever puts on a Red Sox uniform

At one time I thought it would be cool if he was on the Red Sox be he seems like such a clubhouse disruption that I really don't think he would be a good fit for the Sox and I would be pissed if they got him. He is one of the greatest players, don't get me wrong, but I think he would be terrible for the Red Sox...that is unless he could pull a Randy Moss and get an attitude adjustment and a salary cut...but that doesn't seem very likely.

He is certainly not wanted in Boston. He had his chance here and turned it down unfortunately for him because he could have had two championship rings by now.
A-Rod, how does it feel to be so overwhelmingly unwanted by a team and its fans?

A-Rod will destroy the team he signs with. So I hope he stays in the AL (with my Red Sox), but looks like the Cubs or Giants will go get him.

Not for the amount of money Boras will be trying to fetch for him.
We could spend that kind of dough on some pitching.
