Ram Memory is what I am asking about for a 2005 model Compaq Presario that only has 224mb Ram as of now.

Hi. Memory is not universal. There are many types. You can scan your PC at http://www.crucial.com/ and find out what type you have. (DDR, DDR2, etc.)

If the model was purchased in 2005, it will probably be using DDR 333, possibly 400.
The model is very important however. The manufacturers website will confirm what memory is being used.
Whether or not it is DDR333 or 400, you should still go for the 400, as it is normally a couple bucks cheaper, and will work at the 333 level. And I suggest newegg.com for this!

go to www.crucial .com and scan your computer it will tell you exactly what ram you need then go compare prices like at www.newegg.com.
