I purchased a snowsuit from a woman off of ebay that claimed the snowsuit was new and was never worn, she bought it as a gift for someone. It was to have come with mittens and booties. When I recived it, it was missing the mittens, a button was pulled out on it, and it looked washed/worn even tho she said clearly it was in "perfect condition". I emailed her about it and she gave me this sap story about how her husband is having foot sergery, and she is moving and her car transmission has broke down. What should I do? I feel like submitting negative feedback will be like a slap on the hand for doing something more diserving (false advertisement, forgeting to ship entire product, guilting me into forgiving her, etc...).

forgot to mention, the snowsuit was for a baby and after I bought it she said she actually bought it at TJ max and made me feel like I got what I paid for.....

I would give her a "neutral" rating, with as much an explanation as you can give. You at least did receive something.

If you paid via paypal, you can always file a claim for your money back. I have done that before, got womens shoes when i ordered mens. I filed a paypal buyers protection claim and got my money back.

Ebay can be tricky. Buy from sellers with a good feedback rating. Make sure the item you buy has a very good picture, and always ask a question if you have any doubts.

I have been buying and selling on eBay for 9 years. It is a good forum for buying and selling goods, just be cautious.

I would tell her you want your money back if you are not happy with it. On ebay the terms are to describe the item exactly as it appears. Try and email her again telling her you want a return and then if she doesn't comply, contact ebay leave. If the issue doesn't get resolved, then leave negative feedback. You might feel sorry for her, but her issues have nothing to do with the sale of a item. I only use negative feedback as a last resort. Good Luck!

E-bay is the perfect place to fool people out of their money.
You are really taking a chance by ordering something, sight UNSEEN!

I have had some similar experiences w. purchasing items on the internet -- so I am sorry! : (

However,you have a few options:
1.) Complain directly to e-bay
2.) Write a BAD review under "Review this Seller"
3.) Threaten the woman: tell her that you are contacting e-bay and the Consumer Credit Bureau - unless she gives you your money back --
or --
4.) Cut your losses and move on.

Please be more careful when purchasing from e-bay in teh future!
: )

Good luck! : )

First, I don't trust eBay or any seller. I used it and got screwed 3 of 4 times. Give the negative feedback because she clearly lied and report it. But good luck reporting it to eBay because they really don't care as long as they get their money.

Crucify the lying harpy

Foot surgery my backside. She's a scammer and you're the one who was scammed. Tell her you want the mittens or she gets the negative feedback. She didn't sell the item as described, so that's negative feedback in my book.

You have to be harsh to people like this, otherwise they walk all over the next customer.

If she did this to you she'll do it to someone else too. Just slap her with a neg and if she negs you back you can respond. You've tried to work it out with her to YOUR unsatisfaction.

Use the negative feedback, and report her.

get eBay on it. They have ways of settling this kind of crap. That and leave massively terrible feedback.
