Tell you what, I have have the playtex embrace double electric and it is a GOOD pump! Although it IS a bit weaker suction than your standard Medela Pump 'n Style and Ameda Purely Yours (these two are the top model pumps for the smaller price tag), it still gets the job done. I love my pump. It is FDA approved (closed system that doesn't allow milk to enter the tubing/motor). I find it very comfortable and efficent. I can pump an ounce a minute, but my supply is apparently better than most breastfeeding mothers' supplies.
My only recommendation is to buy a new Embrace pump because you'll want to regrister the pump in YOUR name and you'll want to have the full use of the 1 year warranty. These pumps have been known to break down on some people, and they will ony get the pumps replaced by the Playtex company only if the pump has been used by one person and if it's regristered. If you buy off of ebay, make sure that you can still regrister the pump.
Check out the customer reviews at Babiesrus.com and target.com for the Playtex Embrace.
BTW, you can buy a new playtex embrace pump from Healthchecksystems.com with zero shipping and for a greatly reduced price. This is where I got my pump.
Also, if you want to save even more money, go straight to the Playtex website to buy the seperate motor, tubing, power cord and 2 or 3 breast cups. The bags and other supplies that comes with the embrace set are unecessary. Also, buy the bottles seperately. I use playtex drop-ins and gerber bottles with my embrace pump. The motor costs $99, the tubing, breast cups and power cord should total to no more than $25 all together.
For milk storage, I recommend you use Gerber or Lansinoh storage bags, and NOT the playtex storage system. The Playtex system is costly and impractical, in my opinion.

Ugh. You can buy an Ameda for that price. Look for a retailer who will sell the Ameda Purely yours without the bags, bottles and freezer packs. I think the motor and kit are available for sale for around $100. Try here:

I would never recommend an off-brand pump. As far as I'm concerned, Medela and Ameda are the only brands. Anything is not worth the money. Lots of women recommend the Avent, but my girlfriend was injured by that pump. It turns out that many women are injured by that pump, even though many women use it with no problem. I don't think it's worth the risk.

To be honest I recommend buying a breast pump (new) off eBay. I had the manual avent pump but I wasn't really getting enough milk out of it. I started using the Avent isis IQ uno and its great! I breastfeed 99% of the time and pump 1% of the time. If you don't need allot of pumping this ones great and affordable. It only cost $96 brand new off ebay (that was with shipping 2!) where it usually was $200 new where I'm from!

The Medela Single Pump works just as good as the Medela Dual Electric.. and it's half the price. The only problem is, it takes more time because you can only pump one side. For me, I'm at home so I don't need to be in a hurry. If you are a working Mom needing to pump, your best bet is to invest in the Dual. It's worth it. The cheapies can really screw up your body and make you engorged.

Mine got here with 2 small bottles apx 30 ml i've got faith. nicely I did one breast at a time and crammed them the two up in approximately 6 minutes! A tip the lactation representative instructed me, and that i surprisingly advise. Rub a splash olive oil on the interior the cone the place the seal would be made. This helps to grant s slick yet air tight seal to help mutually as pumping. i attempted it 1st without it, in basic terms to make certain, and the suction can pull your nipple and make it uncomfortable, and as quickly as I used the olive oil it felt sturdy. experts: this undertaking rocks all the way around!! CONS: if i detect one, i could could desire to come again to you!! Oh and basically a splash greater effective TMI... I felt like a freaking cow at a dairy farm final nighttime while i became into doing this, in basic terms felt bizarre doing it the 1st time ay understand? All i could desire to think of roughly became right into a cow. My hubby saved choosing at me and attempting to get me to moo LOL.... additionally the little yellow undertaking that the milk comes out of and is going into bottle, there's a membrane. Its white and floppy, like a splash circle. as quickly as the milk reaches this section mutually as pumping give up. It you circulate plenty previous that it's going to circulate into the line and probably into the pump.

Medela Double Electric, expensive, but worth it. Check with your insurance company, sometimes they cover the cost of it. Also, usually you can rent one at your hospital.
