because halloween is supposed to be the day that the spirits are free to walk among the human world... people(i forget what country) would dress up to scare away the demons and spirits! also halloween isnt supposed to be just a day its a season! its the time when the earth is dying and the human and paranormal world are closest togther... <3

back to the begining of halloween ...
as you know halloween is the day before spirits would walk the earth hunting for a body to live ( i think thats what they were doing) ... so many moons ago people would dress up as spirits so the real spirits would think they were spirits too....
