i heard his name on the radio and he sounded like an a hole. then i just saw his name on tv. im sure he has sumting to do with the elections..but why is he important?

His name is Barrack Hussein Obama and he is a native-born citizen of the United States over the age of 35 which makes him constitutionally eligible to seek the office.
He is the first African-American to seek this nomination from a position of elected office. Other African-Americans tried in the past (Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton) but neither of them was an elected official at the time.

Obama is one of the democrat candidates for the presidency. And he is pretty "strong", last month stronger than Hillary Clinton (hope you know who is she)

Look at ANY newspaper. and there are blogs and special webpages with the candidates of both parties.
